Capen House: Jillian & Ben's Classic Garden Wedding

Our Anna Christine Events team’s next feature was January of 2023, with Jillian & Ben’s Classic Garden wedding at the beautiful venue, Capen House. The couple’s day was filled with stunning touches of blue and white throughout their wedding day and captured by the incredible Alex Michele Photography & Kindle and Grain.

After our bride and groom finished getting ready they headed over to The Capen House to get some pictures with their groomsmen and bridesmaids before doing their own first look with each other. But before our bride could see her groom for the first time she had a special moment with the man of her life, with a bride and father first look right by the lake!

It was not long after pictures of the wedding party with the bride and groom that they all headed to St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church for the wedding ceremony where the beautiful couple shined at the altar!

Once the bride and groom were officially pronounced husband and wife our couple, wedding party, and all their friends and family headed over to The Capen House for cocktail hour on the back patio and a classic garden wedding under a clear tent! While our guests enjoyed cocktail hour overlooking the lake, the couple explored the property some more making sure to capture every precious detail and their love for each other.

Guests could find their names and table numbers on the beautiful seating chart created by Lettering by LeeAnn and then head over to the gorgeous tent where they were greeted with the perfect classic garden wedding. There was no detail spared in the reception space from the dusty blue water goblets and rental chairs, to the sweet favors on each place setting with their pets faces!

The bride and groom were introduced to their guests into the tent where they held toasts and dinner service! Once dinner had completed we moved the party back over to The Capen House for the remainder of our formalities like cake cutting, first dance, and parent dances to be followed by the celebration!

Their Classic Garden wedding night ended with a fun bubble exit including a stunning exotic getaway car.

The day of the wedding, she made sure everything was taken care of, resulting in a stress-free day for everyone in the bridal party including the parents of the bride and groom. She ensured everything ran smoothly and according to the timeline and did an amazing job of getting everyone set up for our grand sparkler exit. We know our wedding would not have been as perfect as it was without Christy's help, and we are so glad we hired her!

Christy was a fantastic wedding coordinator! I absolutely loved working with her. I was looking for a day of coordinator because I was already planning my wedding and really wanted someone to just take over for the last month. I chose the package where I could call/email her if I had any questions leading up to the wedding and it came in handy. The package was affordable and what we were looking for. When we spoke on the phone I instantly knew I wanted to book her because she has a very calm demeanor. I have spoken to other wedding planners and some of them were so high strung it was stressing me out just talking to them! I passed off everything to her month of and everything went off without a hitch. Anytime we needed anything during the wedding she was right there waiting for us and willing to help. I can’t recommend her enough!

There are not enough words to express our gratitude towards Christy! She is beyond amazing and was made to be a wedding coordinator! Her ability to adapt and come up with solutions that make everyone happy is a true gift. She was my therapist and knew exactly how to decrease my stress and anxiety. Christy and her sister Laura truly made our day magical and allowed us to enjoy it!

I cannot say enough good things about Christy, Laura, and their team. We had some challenges at our wedding (guests, weather, etc) and they handled it all like champs and kept the party going. I had day of services and felt comfortable handing everything over and knowing it was in good hands. I'm grateful they were there and I would recommend them to anyone.

We had the pleasure of having Laura as our Day Of Coordinator for our wedding at Casa Feliz. Laura knows her stuff, not to mention this venue. She's BEYOND sweet and always looking out for the bride and groom on their day. If something needed to be changed around, it was always a smooth transition. There is not a single issue we can think of that happened on the wedding day, nor during the wedding planning process. Laura kept in contact with every single vendor, not to mention a last minute vendor we brought on board less than a week from the wedding day. EVERYTHING was perfect, we will never forget this day! I highly recommend both Laura and Christy they are fantastic ladies!

Christy was amazing from start to finish. We brought on a planner part way through planning and she geared us in the right direction from the start. She listened and understood our vision. She worked to make the wedding exactly what we wanted. And even when we hit a snag with our venue, Christy guided us through what would have been a super stressful time, to the perfect event.
