Capen House: Nicole & Jared's Natural Wedding

Our next wedding feature was in April of 2017, at the beautiful venue, the Capen House. Nicole and Jared held their ceremony and reception outdoors, with lots of natural colors and rustic accents. We loved all the beautiful floral arrangements incorporated into their day by Raining Roses. Thanks to Kathy Thomas Photography, we’re happy to share their beautiful day with you!

Natural Wedding Capen House Orlando Wedding Planner Anna Christine Events

Nicole began her day by getting ready with her bridesmaids, with hair and makeup styled by Bella Con Stile Beauty. We loved how her lacy strapless gown matched her bridesmaids’ in blue. Meanwhile, Jared and his groomsmen got dressed in classic suits and ties.

Rather than having a First Look photo shoot, Jared and Nicole captured a few fun photos of them back to back, just out of sight of one another. We thought it was a sweet twist on the classic, giving the couple a moment together before the wedding while preserving the traditional first look.

As guests arrived at the Capen House, they found a myriad of beautiful details. First, they found the blackboard welcome sign and tree-shaped guestbook. Then, upon stepping outside, they found the cool set-up created by Orlando Wedding & Party Rentals. The aisle began with a wooden doorway, leading to a flower-adorned archway. We loved the aisle decor of potted floral arrangements on the end of each row.

The ceremony began with the flower girl and ring bearer walking down the aisle with a sign announcing “Here comes the bride”. Nicole then walked down and met Jared at the archway, where they exchanged rings and vows. They also chose to include a wine bottle ceremony, one of our favorite additions. Once they had been pronounced husband and wife, they shared a kiss, and made their way out for some photos together.

Inside, there was more fun to be found. The photo booth from Photoboth Rocks had a sparkly backdrop and lots of props. There was a coffee bar with lots of snacks, and the dessert table held a variety of sweet treats, including the simply frosted cake from Anna Cakes.

The reception was full of love – from the toasts by the wedding party, to the dances with loved ones, to the cake cutting, to the bouquet tossing. From beginning to end, our newlyweds were glowing with smiles.

The night ended with a lavender exit. Nicole and Jared made their way to the getaway car under a shower of lavender, tossed by their guests.

The day of the wedding, she made sure everything was taken care of, resulting in a stress-free day for everyone in the bridal party including the parents of the bride and groom. She ensured everything ran smoothly and according to the timeline and did an amazing job of getting everyone set up for our grand sparkler exit. We know our wedding would not have been as perfect as it was without Christy's help, and we are so glad we hired her!

Christy was a fantastic wedding coordinator! I absolutely loved working with her. I was looking for a day of coordinator because I was already planning my wedding and really wanted someone to just take over for the last month. I chose the package where I could call/email her if I had any questions leading up to the wedding and it came in handy. The package was affordable and what we were looking for. When we spoke on the phone I instantly knew I wanted to book her because she has a very calm demeanor. I have spoken to other wedding planners and some of them were so high strung it was stressing me out just talking to them! I passed off everything to her month of and everything went off without a hitch. Anytime we needed anything during the wedding she was right there waiting for us and willing to help. I can’t recommend her enough!

There are not enough words to express our gratitude towards Christy! She is beyond amazing and was made to be a wedding coordinator! Her ability to adapt and come up with solutions that make everyone happy is a true gift. She was my therapist and knew exactly how to decrease my stress and anxiety. Christy and her sister Laura truly made our day magical and allowed us to enjoy it!

I cannot say enough good things about Christy, Laura, and their team. We had some challenges at our wedding (guests, weather, etc) and they handled it all like champs and kept the party going. I had day of services and felt comfortable handing everything over and knowing it was in good hands. I'm grateful they were there and I would recommend them to anyone.

We had the pleasure of having Laura as our Day Of Coordinator for our wedding at Casa Feliz. Laura knows her stuff, not to mention this venue. She's BEYOND sweet and always looking out for the bride and groom on their day. If something needed to be changed around, it was always a smooth transition. There is not a single issue we can think of that happened on the wedding day, nor during the wedding planning process. Laura kept in contact with every single vendor, not to mention a last minute vendor we brought on board less than a week from the wedding day. EVERYTHING was perfect, we will never forget this day! I highly recommend both Laura and Christy they are fantastic ladies!
