Our next blog post features a wedding from the end of January 2018, at the B Resort in Lake Buena Vista. Our bride and groom, Shannon and Ronan, held a classy black & white wedding with an indoor ceremony and reception. All the photos shared in this post are courtesy of their fantastic photographer from Ashley Jane Photography.
Shannon and Ronan got ready separately in the morning, with Shannon getting hair and makeup done by Brides Be Beautiful. She dressed in a beautiful white gown with a low-cut front and cascading train, all with intricate detailing. Her lovely bouquet of calla lilies was arranged by Lee Forrest Design. Meanwhile, Ronan kept it classy in a traditional tuxedo and bow tie, with a matching boutonniere.
The bride and groom met for a first look photo shoot, capturing their love perfectly. They brought in the rest of the wedding party for a series of photos. We loved that Shannon let her bridesmaids choose the style of their dress, but kept them color-coordinated all in black. Meanwhile, the gentlemen dressed in their snazzy tuxes to match the groom.
The room for the ceremony was decorated in black and white as well, with a white aisle runner, black seating, and white floral arrangements on black pillars. The ceremony began, and the flower girl walked down the aisle, handing out flowers as she went. Shannon made her grand entrance and joined Ronan at the altar. The two said their “I do”s, were pronounced husband and wife, and shared their first kiss together as a married couple. Then they did the African wedding tradition of jumping the broom!
Following cocktail hour, the guests made their way to the reception hall. Glowing with candlelight, the room was decorated in black, white, and sparkling chandeliers. We especially loved the three wedding cakes – the centerpiece was a traditional white multi-tiered creation, and was joined on either side by a smaller black cake. All three were made by Sprinkles Custom Cakes.
The reception began with the entrance of Shannon and Ronan, which led seamlessly into their first dance together as a married couple. Shannon then shared a dance with her son, on whose arm she had also walked down the aisle. Ronan then shared a dance with his mother, which led to the toasts. The night progressed from there to dinner and dancing led by DJ Sacha from M.A.D.D. Vybez. Guests enjoyed the giant chess board outside, the dessert buffet inside, and the photo booth stocked with fun props.
Late in the evening, Shannon and Ronan had a representative from the Corona Cigar Company hand-roll cigars for the guests. It was a classy and unique touch, and a great way for them to end the night!
