Our next wedding takes us to February of 2019, with Michelle and Michael at the Luxmore Grande Estate. Their beautiful purple and white affair was inspired by their favorite literature, with a fun book-themed seating chart containing bookmark favors. We had a wonderful time bringing their fairytale to life, and are happy to share their beautiful photos with you, courtesy of Flora Bloom Photography!
Michelle began her day at the Luxmore with hair and makeup done by the artists at Once Upon a Beauty. Our bride wore a gorgeous strapless gown with a lacy train, with her bridesmaids in halter top purple gowns. Each lovely lady held a blooming bouquet of purple and white arranged by Flowers by Lesley. Meanwhile, Michael got ready inside with his groomsmen, wearing a coordinated purple vest and bow tie.
Michelle and Michael then met for a first look photoshoot, finding lots of creative spots to capture their love. From the front of fountain, to beneath the trees hanging with Spanish moss, to a top-down shot at the staircase, we loved all the beautiful photos these two captured with Flora Bloom Photography.
When guests arrived for the ceremony, they were greeted by a beautiful setup. Greenery climbed the staircase with purple and white florals, and the arbor inside was constructed of gorgeous sheer purple and white fabric. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Kevin Knox of A Beautiful Ceremony. Following the “I do”s, Michelle and Michael captured a few more private moments of love before joining their guests for the reception.
We loved the subtle touches of literary inspiration at Michelle and Michael’s reception, starting with the seating assignments. The guests at each table were listed inside an open book, with a pouch full of the guests’ favors: commemorative bookmarks. Each table then featured a centerpiece of a floral arrangement on top of a stack of books, and each table was themed after a genre of literature. Finally, the lovely multi-tiered wedding cake by Everything Cake sat on top of a vintage piece of luggage.
Dinner was catered by the fabulous Big City Catering, and featured a spread of classic dishes. The cake was cut, parent dances were shared, and everyone enjoyed the fun photo booth from Party Shots Photo Booth. Michelle tossed her bouquet, Michael tossed the garter, and everyone helped themselves to a night cap of a mac n’ cheese bar.
The night ended with a beautiful sparkler grand exit, and Michelle and Michael shared one last kiss before heading off on their way to wedded bliss.
Thank you to Michelle and Michael for choosing us to a be a part of your beautiful day, and we wish you happiness ever after! Thanks to the fantastic vendors who make our jobs a joy:
