Our next blog post brings us to late December of 2018, one of our last weddings of the year. Heather and David were married at the Luxmore Grande Estate, a gorgeous venue in Winter Springs, Florida. We loved how they added a wintry vibe into every element of their wedding: for example, holly was incorporated into many of the floral arrangements, the staircase was decked in garlands of greenery, and the favors were wooden snowflake ornaments. Thanks to the ever-talented Rudy and Marta Photography, we are so glad to be able to share their photos with you today!
Heather’s day began with hair and makeup, done by M3 Makeup. She then stepped into her beautiful sleeveless gown. Both her dress and veil had lovely accents of lace and tulle. Meanwhile, David got ready for the day with his groomsmen, wearing a classy black suit with a red tie and wintry boutonniere from Oviedo Florist. Heather and David chose to meet before the ceremony for a First Look photo shoot, and we loved seeing the look on David’s face when he first saw his beautiful bride.
Heather and David then captured photos around the venue, from the library to the staircase to the lawn. They then gathered their wedding party for some photos together. The bridesmaids wore red dresses of different styles, chosen by each girl individually. The groomsmen wore black suits with brown ties and boutonnieres, to contrast with the groom. We loved a fun hidden touch that David added, wearing rubber ducky socks!
Soon enough, it was time for the guests to arrive! Heather and David hid away, awaiting their big moment.
As the guests arrived, they were welcomed by a wooden welcome sign and the guestbook. Rather than a traditional book, Heather and David had their guests sign a framed illustration that combined their two home states. Upon arrival outside, the guests found a beautiful setup. Each row of seating had a hanging glass jar with wintry greenery and holly inside. The aisle led to several pillars which held more floral arrangements by Oviedo Florist.
Once everyone had taken their places, Heather made her entrance on the arm of her father, Bruce. They joined David at the end of the aisle, and the ceremony began, officiated by Jeff Thompson from Sensational Ceremonies. They said their vows, were pronounced husband and wife, and Heather and David shared their first married kiss.
While the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, the reception was prepared, with wintry details galore! Each table was covered in a white linen and burlap runner, with deep red napkins at each place. On top of each napkin was their favor, a wooden snowflake ornament with their names engraved. We loved their natural centerpieces, with the table numbers carved into wooden circles. Finally, the intricately detailed wedding cake by Bakers Cottage featured many of the same floral elements, along with beautiful decorative snowflakes.
The reception began with the entrance of Heather and David, followed by their first dance together. They heard toasts from loved ones, then began dinner, catered by Big City Catering. As the night progressed, Heather and David cut the beautiful cake, Heather smooshing a bit of cake into David’s face. They then danced the night away with their guests to music led by DJ Les from Soundwave Entertainment.
Before long, it was time for Heather and David to make their grand exit. The guests gathered outside, lit up sparklers, and provided a sparkling aisle for them to make their exit. Sharing one last moment with the crowd, they said their goodbyes, and headed out into their new adventure together.
Much thanks to Heather and David for choosing us to be a part of their big day! Thanks as well to the venue and vendors that make us love our job:
