In July of 2019, we joined Shaneca and Michael for a fun and glam wedding at the beautiful Luxmore Grande Estate. We loved the bright summer colors and accents of ostrich feathers they utilized to create a truly memorable reception. Thanks to the gorgeous photos from Unashamed Imaging, we’re so glad we get to share their day with you!
The day began with the bride and groom getting ready at the Luxmore. The ladies’ hair and makeup was done beautifully by Eye Dare U. The bridesmaids dressed in lovely pink gowns of different styles. Our beautiful bride Shaneca stepped into her gorgeous strapless white gown that cascaded out into a ruffled train. Meanwhile, Michael and his groomsmen got ready downstairs, wearing classy blue suits and pink boutonnieres to match the ladies.
Before making their way to the ceremony, Shaneca and Michael chose to meet for a first look. We loved seeing the looks of joy on both their faces that continued throughout the photo shoot. After capturing some pictures with the wedding party, the happy couple took some photos with just the two of them, and then made their way to the church.
The ceremony was held at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. We loved the decor provided by Feathers by Eve that added a dramatic and tropical feel to the venue. Shaneca walked down the aisle on the arms of her two sons, then met Michael to exchange vows and rings. They chose to incorporate the lighting of a unity candle, one of our favorite and most popular ceremony additions. At last, they shared a kiss and were pronounced husband and wife! The ceremony ended with a traditional jumping over the broom by the bride and groom, who then made their way out of the space and to the reception.
The Luxmore was transformed into a summery, bright space, featuring tall centerpieces topped with blooming ostrich feathers. The cake from Everything Cake was a beautiful multi-tier creation with rose gold stripes and a diamond ring topper, a fun and fabulous touch!
Once the guests had all found their seats, the wedding party were announced into the space, followed by the bride and groom! Michael and Shaneca shared their first dance as a married couple. Shaneca then shared a dance with her mother, which was followed by heartfelt toasts by loved ones. Shaneca then shared a mother-son dance, and Michael and his sister shared a very touching dance. Dinner was then served, which was created by the fabulous Big City Catering.
Once dinner had been enjoyed, the real party began! The guests all danced the night away, led by the DJ from MADD Vybez. They were also welcome to enjoy the fun photo booth, set up in the library. As the night drew to a close, everyone was welcomed to take home a favor – individual mini bottles of champagne!
The night ended with sparks flying! Shaneca and Michael met outside the Luxmore to capture a photo with their cold sparkler fountains before the guests arrived, wanting just a couple shots with just the two of them. The guests were then welcomed outside for a grand farewell to the bride and groom.
We wish Shaneca and Michael the very best, and are so glad to have been part of their day! We are also grateful to have the opportunity to work with all these fabulous vendors:
