Back in November of 2015, we joined Sara and Josh for their rustic chic-style wedding at the Streamsong Resort in Central Florida. Their big day was full of gorgeous details, colors, and moments that we were honored to share with them. We weren’t the only ones that loved this wedding; it was also featured in Orange Blossom Bride! Thanks to Ashley Jane Photography, we are happy to share the beautiful photos of their wedding day with you!
The day began with hair and make-up for the ladies done by May Rodriguez Makeup. The bridesmaids wore beautiful long purple backless dresses with lace sleeves and a bow around the waist. Sara wore a lovely strapless gown with a tulle train, designed by Anne Barge and found at Malindy Elene Bridal. The ladies carried beautiful blooming bouquets of red, pink, and white designed by Events in Bloom. Meanwhile, the groom got ready with his groomsmen in a Vera Wang tuxedo from Jos A Banks. Josh was excited to find that Sara had sent him a nontraditional groom’s gift for the wedding day: a shotgun!
As the guests began to arrive at Streamsong Resort, they followed a wooden sign that pointed them towards the ceremony. Along the way, there were wooden windows on which were written phrases like “the best is yet to be” and “grow old along with me”. At the ceremony site, there were rustic details such as barrels holding floral arrangements and wooden boxes full of flowers along the aisle. Each guest also received a small with directions to ring them as the bride and groom exited. Underscoring the ceremony was a string & flute trio from Jaclyn Duncan Music.
The ceremony began, and once the rest of the wedding party was in place, Sara made her grand entrance from the balcony above. She descended the staircase on the arm of her father to meet Josh at the altar, who was in tears at the first sight of her. The two exchanged vows surrounded by their friends and family, then shared a kiss to seal the deal: they were now husband and wife! After capturing a few pictures with the wedding party, Sara and Josh took photos around the venue, showcasing the beauty of the resort. They then made their way to the reception venue to join the guests.
The guests, meanwhile, had been enjoying the cocktail hour, with delicious catered appetizers. As Sara and Josh joined them, the reception space was completed. The entire room glowed, with floor-to-ceiling windows and candles on every table. Events in Bloom created beautiful blooming floral centerpieces for each table. There was a lovely mix of rustic elements such as barrels and twine around the menus, as well as classy elements such as comfortable King Louis chairs and golden chargers.
The reception began with Sara and Josh’s entrance, followed by their first dance together as a married couple. The guests then enjoyed dinner and dancing with music from the Bay Kings Band. As the night progressed, our happy couple cut their gorgeous, multi-tiered cake, shared Mother-Son and Father-Daughter dances, heard a heartfelt speech from the bride’s father, and finally, presented Sara’s father with a surprise: a new puppy! The night was enjoyed by all, and we are so grateful to have been a part of it.
Congratulations and thanks to Sara and Josh, we hope the last four years of matrimony have been even more wonderful as that wedding day! Thanks as always to the fantastic venue and vendors that made it all happen:
