In June of 2019, we helped Katie and Andrew bring their wedding to life at the Villas of Grand Cypress. The decor from start to finish had a very natural feel, with lots of simple whites, natural greens, and blues. Our favorite part of the night was how the bride and groom incorporated their love of swing dance into the reception! Thanks to Jessica Leigh Photography, we’re happy to share their day with you.
The ladies started their day with hair and makeup done by Once Upon a Beauty, dressed in fun floral matching robes. They then got dressed, the bridesmaids in pale green dresses and our bride in a gorgeous, multi-tiered gown. Meanwhile, the gentlemen dressed in grey suits and green bow ties to match the ladies.
Before the guests arrived, Katie and Andrew met for a first look photo shoot. The bride and groom both had huge smiles on their faces when they saw each other for the first time of their wedding day. This led into a beautiful photo shoot led by Jessica Leigh Photography.
Katie and Andrew opted for an indoor ceremony, and the space was beautifully decorated with white accents and florals from Bluegrass Chic. As guests entered, they were welcomed to sign a small heart to place into a box frame, as a fun alternative to a guestbook.
The ceremony was traditional and beautifully led by the officiant, Minister David. Katie was walked down the aisle by her father to Andrew, where they exchanged vows, rings, and their first married kiss. They then made their exit, all smiles!
The reception space was covered in clean, white, bright linens, with white florals as centerpieces. We loved that each seat had a beautifully floral escort card, as well as a “Mulkeyway Bar”. Against one wall was the beautiful dessert table, provided by Sweets by Holly. Atop the tower of beautiful mini-cupcakes was the cake topper, which featured a couple swing dancing.
Once everyone had found their seats, the reception began with Katie and Andrew’s first dance – which was, of course, fantastic. Their performance was followed by toasts and a blessing from loved ones. Dinner was then served, followed by cake cutting and parent dances.
The night then transformed into a dance party. The dancing was led by DJ Tim Korkuc, who is actually a swing dance instructor! The bride and groom danced the night away with their guests, sharing their newly learned swing dance moves.
The night ended with a “Let Love Glow” send-off with glow sticks. Katie and Andrew shared one last kiss as their guests waved the glow sticks around, then bid their farewells!
Much thanks and love goes to Katie and Andrew, and to all the vendors that brought everything together:
