In July of 2019, we joined Katie and Daniel for their simple and fun wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center. There were lots of natural elements with the color scheme of green and white, with some small touches of pink. We had a lovely day with our bride and groom, who had nothing but smiles and laughs all day long! Thanks to Jake & Katie Photography, we’re so happy to share their beautiful day with you.
Katie and Daniel began their day by getting ready at the Hyatt Place Lake Mary. Katie and her bridesmaids had lots of fun together, capturing silly moments and smiling photos. Their hair and makeup were done by Before the Aisle. Meanwhile, Daniel and his groomsmen got ready in coordinated suits and simple boutonnieres from In Bloom.
Guests were greeted with a welcome sign at their Lake Mary Events Center wedding, and upon entrance found themselves in a spacious room of natural light. We loved the simplicity of their setup: there was a wooden archway with florals attached, and each guest received a fan that served as the program. The programs had a super cute design, which included a timeline of the day to come.
The ceremony began, and Katie walked down the aisle to her groom. Their faces lit up when they saw one another, and you couldn’t miss the look of love and joy in their eyes. Upon being pronounced husband and wife, they shared a kiss and walked back down the aisle to applause!
Following the ceremony, Daniel and Katie met with the photographer from Jake & Katie Photography to capture some pictures with their wedding party. We loved how throughout the day, Katie and Daniel let their personality shine through every photo. They goofed around with their wedding party and with each other, leading to a series of delightful and personal portraits.
At last, it was time for the reception! The Events Center has a spacious room for dining, which we set with four long rows of tables, covered in crisp white linens and floral runners. The room glowed with candles. At the front of the room, on a slightly raised stage, was the sweetheart table for our newlyweds! We hung a wooden sign proclaiming them as “The Oyolas” behind them. On either side were the desserts: a simple cake from Publix Bakery, and a tower of donuts (representing “Holy Matrimony”). Guests could find their tables on the painted mirror seating chart just outside the hall.
Once everyone had found their seats, the bride and groom made their big entrance! Daniel and Katie shared their first dance together, then heard toasts from the best man, maid of honor, and the bride’s father. As the night progressed, Katie and Daniel cut the cake together (leading to some very fun photos). They then shared parent dances, and soon enough, it was time for the party to begin!
Everyone enjoyed open dancing, led by the DJ from Soundwave Entertainment. Daniel tossed the garter, Katie tossed the bouquet, and great times were had by all.
The night came to its close with a grand sparkler exit, and Daniel and Katie shared one last kiss for the crowd. They then bid us farewell as they rode off into the night together! Congratulations to Daniel and Katie, and thank you for choosing us on your big day! We wish you all the best.
