Our next wedding brings to June of 2017, with the charming travel-themed wedding of Anna and Noah. Their story began at the airport: they were both running from one gate to another to make their connecting flight, and funny enough, found themselves sitting next to each other on the plane. They had the same layover and decided to have dinner together, and the rest is history! Anna and Noah’s wedding at Mission Inn Resort was inspired by their travel-related meeting, and included lots of fun details. Much thanks to Cricket’s Photo & Cinema for all the beautiful photographs.re
The day began with the girls and guys getting ready separately. Anna’s bridesmaids wore bright pink dresses, with Anna herself in a gorgeous strapless lacy white dress. Their hair and makeup was beautifully styled by Laura Reynolds Artistry. Meanwhile, the men got ready in their khaki suits, the groomsmen sporting bright yellow boutonnieres and Noah sporting a white boutonniere. The boutonnieres and gorgeous bouquets bursting with colorful flowers were designed by Claudia’s Pearl Florist.
The ceremony was held outdoors, with a lakeside view. The ring bearer was dressed in a captain’s uniform, a super fun and themed touch. There were bunches of flowers hung in mason jars from the end seats, as well as flower petals lining the aisle. Each guest was also given a fan, a very smart choice for a June wedding in Florida. Following a beautiful ceremony conducted by Lon Tosi of Sensational Ceremonies, the bride and groom jubilantly exited down the aisle. They met with the wedding party for a quick photo shoot, then took off to take a few photos on their own while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour.
Anna and Noah found lots of fantastic spots for their photos, from the trees hanging with Spanish moss to the dock during sunset. They also brought some very fun props for their photos, such as a piece of vintage luggage that said “Thank you” and some wooden letters that spelled out “FOREVER”. After capturing a satisfactory amount of gorgeous photos, the bride and groom joined their guests just in time for the reception.
The reception was full of travel-themed details, beginning with the seating cards. Each table was labeled with a city from around the world, placed on top of a tall centerpiece. The centerpiece flowers were actually made from paper maps, another very cool touch. In addition to the guest book, there was a large wooden map that guests could sign with a special message for the bride and groom. The card box was a piece of vintage luggage, and sat next to several fun captain’s hats. Globes and maps were all over the reception hall, including in the “N&A” letters on the sweetheart table. The very cute favor for guests was a s’mores kit, which read “There is always room for s’more love”.
The reception began with an introduction from Wendy of Soundwave Entertainment, who announced the wedding party like a flight attendant. Anna and Noah shared their first dance, then it was time for dinner, catered by Mission Inn Resort. Following dinner, the happy couple cut their very cool cake from Annette’s Cakes, which was made to look like a stack of luggage with a cute themed cake topper. The two shared their Mother-Son and Father-Daughter dances, tossed the bouquet and garter, and danced the night away with their guests.
The night ended with a beautiful sparkler exit, Anna and Noah making their grand departure into the great adventure that awaited them.
Congratulations to Anna and Noah, and much thanks for including us on your beautiful day! Thanks to the venue and vendors that made everything come together so perfectly:
