The day began early in the morning, with hair and makeup for the ladies. Brunch catering was provided by Mynt Catering, with coffee and an assortment of baked goods. Our bride then participated in a traditional Mendhi ceremony in which her hands and arms were decorated in henna tattoos.
The Holy Trinity Reception Center was beautifully set up, with shades of warm red, orange, and gold all around. We loved the golden swans lining the aisles, with an impressive swan constructed of flowers at the front. Each chair held a program and a small bag of flower petals to be tossed at the end of the ceremony. There were also statues of traditional figures, candles, and musicians throughout the space. We loved that through all the tradition, Sheerin and Maren were able to fit in some fun contemporary details, such as having their wedding hashtag printed on a mirror.
When the time came for the ceremony, Maren was greeted at the entrance to Holy Trinity by a group of musicians. The traditional ceremony then proceeded, with the entrance of our beautiful bride in traditional garb. Lotus Eyes Photography captured every segment of the ceremony, each photograph more beautiful than the last. The ceremony ended with Sheerin and Maren exiting the venue as guests tossed flower petals on the newlyweds.
Between the ceremony and reception, the bride and groom met with their wedding party for a series of photos in their gorgeous attire. We absolutely loved Sheerin’s reception gown, in deep red with gold details.
Meanwhile, the venue was transformed for the reception. Everywhere you looked, the room glowed with gold. Some of our favorite details included ornaments containing small candles, flowers cascading from the ceiling, and the intricate circular centerpiece on the sweetheart table.
If there was one common thread throughout the reception, it was dance. To start the party off, the bride and groom shared their first dance together, surrounded by swirling fog. The newlyweds then shared parent dances, followed by the wedding party performing several dance numbers. It was just the sort of spectacle you could expect with the wedding of a former Bollywood star!
The night continued with a delicious buffet from Cocktails Catering. Once everyone had enjoyed their dinner, the dance floor was opened up, with music led by DJ Echo Bell. After a night of dancing, fun, and food, Sheerin and Maren made their grand exit through a cloud of bubbles, departing on their new journey of matrimonial bliss!
